MAYVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A twister spawned a hair-raising experience two newlyweds won't soon forget.

Last weekend, a Jamestown, N.Y. couple was ready to tie the knot. The tables were set, the tent was up, but then Mother Nature crashed the party.

Lacey Keefer and Austin Wilson were scheduled to tie the knot at 4:30 Saturday on Chautauqua-Stedman Road, but before they could say, "I do," a twister ripped through Chautauqua County.

It didn't touch down at the wedding, but it certainly caused quit a stir. The tent was blown down, glasses and DJ equipment went flying and the whole wedding party scrambled to clean up.

The bride's family tells News 4 they were most shocked by the fact that the cake survived. It was in the tent when the storm blew through. The Keefer family believes their late grandmother, who decorated cakes for a living, had something to do with its survival.

After the winds cleared Saturday, the wedding turned out to be a beautiful ceremony with clear skies and a rainbow.

And the guests, many of them wet from the rain, danced well into the night at a wedding they won't soon forget.
