LOS ANGELES (AP) - Either Crystal Bowersox or Lee Dewyze will be crowned the new "American Idol," but tonight could be overshadowed by it being Simon Cowell's last episode.

Ryan Seacrest is promising some surprises for Cowell's farewell. Kara DioGuardi says she didn't have much chemistry with Cowell last season but they've found a common respect this season and she'll miss him. His replacement has not been named.

Fox has not said who will perform on tonight's show besides the "Idol" contestants, but Robin Gibb has said The Bee Gees will appear.
