What was going through your mind when you found out you're the MyTV9 Star?
"Your life just changed." That's pretty much what I said to myself. That and "I can't wait to eat after this!" ...which I actually said on air! Who says that? I guess I was really hungry! But in all seriousness, this is a dream come true! I'm still pinching myself to see if this is real.

Do you have experience in this industry?
I guess you can say that. I graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During my senior year I was an intern at WCVB, the ABC affiliate up in Boston. I was fortunate enough to be hired as a news writer before I graduated. I also worked at NECN. During my time at both stations, I met amazing people. They definitely helped shape me into the person I am today.

What are looking forward to accomplishing over the next year?
Wow! Where do I begin? I'm excited to travel the state and meet new people. I'm also looking forward to collaborating with our sponsors and creating fun projects. Maybe I can meet a celebrity... just one.

Who did you look up to growing up?
Growing up? I'm still growing up! I would definitely say my parents. My mom has always taught me how to live life to the fullest. She's a great friend and listener...and my biggest fan. We're always laughing. Growing up, we would always be "that table" at restaurants making faces at each other and laughing hysterically.
My dad was my best friend and confidante. He was also a jokester. He taught me how to be grateful for what I do and don't have. He taught me the importance of compassion and empathy. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2008 from cancer. But his passing has made me realize just how short life is.

Favorite thing to do when you have nothing to do?
Contact a friend. No matter who it is, we always end up laughing. There's nothing better than laughter.

Favorite food?
Pancakes! I love pancakes! But I have to have all natural syrup. The fake stuff just ruins it.

Favorite color?
Yellow! It's such a happy color.

Deal or No deal?
No deal! Life's all about taking risks! I'll play until the end!

PC or Mac?
I was a PC girl, but I recently invested in a Mac. I must admit, I'm definitely a Mac now.

If you were on a deserted island and were allotted three items, what would they be?
1. Sunscreen. My Irish skin isn't a fan of tanning. I just burn.
2. A hatchet. Every since reading the book by Gary Paulson, Brian Robeson has become my hero. What can't you do with a hatchet?
3. A phone call home. Who wouldn't answer this? I'd get too lonely.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go?
Galesnjak. Its a heart shaped Croatian island. It may be a bit uninhabited, but I'll bring my hatchet.

What's the best advice you've received?
Don't take life to seriously. It isn't permanent. That's a magnet on my refrigerator.
