'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson, who's currently filiming in New York City for his new movie "Remember Me", was reportedbly struck by a cab on the streets of downtown Manhattan.
PEOPLE.com reports that the actor apparently tried to run across the street near the famed Strand bookstore to escape a hoard of fans when he was clipped on his hip by a moving cab, whose driver slammed on his breaks upon impact.
Pattinson, 23, appeared uninjured and walked away. It was reported that he returned to filming a short time later.
As a result of the incident the actor has hired his own security guards in addition to the ones provided by Summit Entertainment for the duration of filming.
Neither a rep from Summit Entertainment of Pattinson was immediately available for comment.
